If you are passionate about your work and are looking for a position where you can make a tangible impact, we want you on our team as a Field Service Engineer (m/f/d) for our Carbolite product line based out of Newtown, PA, or South East (North Florida or GA) or West Coast(CA).

Step into a dynamic, hands-on role where no two days are the same and you’ll be at instrumental in delivering exceptional technical support and building lasting customer relationships.

 

Your responsibilities as Field Service Engineer - Carbolite:

  • Customer Support Excellence: Provide customer support through troubleshooting via phone, email, and onsite for all Carbolite furnaces and ovens.
  • Commissioning: Perform onsite commissioning of new equipment.
  • Repair and maintenance: Conduct in-house troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of equipment, including VSUS lab units.
  • Quoting and spare parts: Utilize CRM and ERP systems to generate accurate service and component quotations.
  • Networking and communication: Maintain strong communication with key account personnel and end users while ensuring a clean and organized workspace.

As Field Service Engineer for Carbolite, you are a perfect match if:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, systems engineering, or equivalent. 
  • Work Experience: High voltage electrical systems, vacuum systems, and PLC systems, is required; possess an understanding of mechanical systems, including mechanical assembly.
  • Technical Skills: Must have strong knowledge of vacuum systems, familiarity with leak detection equipment, rotary pump maintenance, and the ability to safely work on high voltage three-phase systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading electrical and gas schematics, technical drawings, and working with tools such as multi-meters and clamp meters is essential.
  • Communication abilities: Strong organizational, communication (written and verbal), and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) are required.
  • Additional information: Must be available to travel up to 60%
