Verder Scientific Inc. is the local branch of Verder Scientific, a leading high-tech company in the field of sample preparation and analysis. We are a dedicated and motivated team of 45 people, located in Newtown, PA, and represent the six brands of our group in the domestic market, providing laboratories with innovative, precise and efficient solutions: Retsch is our specialist in laboratory mills and sieving equipment. Microtrac develops leading solutions for particle characterization. Carbolite supplies high-performance laboratory ovens. Eltra enables precise elemental analysis. QATM takes care of metallographic sample preparation and hardness testing and ERWEKA is our producer of pharmaceutical testing devices. Verder Scientific operates 13 production sites and eleven sales companies worldwide and are part of the German-Dutch technology group Verder, a group of companies with over 2500 employees around the globe. To ensure smooth daily operations and foster a high-performing, collaborative workplace, we are seeking a Human Resources / Executive Assistant (m/f/d). This vital position will support both our leadership and employees, playing a key role in driving our company’s ongoing success.

Primary responsibilities as Human Resources / Executive Assistant:

  • Deliver comprehensive day-to-day executive and administrative support to the President, ensuring effective leadership focus and streamlined operations.

  • Oversee calendar and travel management, meeting preparation, confidential correspondence, and act as the first point of contact to create organizational efficiency.

  • Administer HR processes including employee onboarding, records management, payroll, benefits liaison, and compliance to ensure a legally sound and supportive workplace. 

  • Facilitate recruitment activities, from job postings through interview coordination, which helps to attract and secure top talent for our organization.

  • Organize and coordinate employee engagement, training initiatives, and performance reviews to promote a culture of continuous learning and growth.

  • Support internal meetings, company events, and special projects to foster collaboration, innovation, and a positive organizational culture.

  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety and company policies, contributing to a respectful and inclusive environment.

As Human Resources / Executive Assistant you're a perfect match, if...

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) forms your educational foundation.

  • You bring 2–5 years of experience in HR, administrative support, or office management, ideally within a generalist role. 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR practices, employment law, payroll processes, and industry regulatory requirements is among your strengths.

  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Power BI, and office management tools supports your effectiveness.
  • Organizational excellence and meticulous attention to detail characterize your multitasking and time management skills.

  • You are an outstanding communicator, able to interact clearly and build relationships at all levels within the company.

  • Adaptability, a solution-focused mindset, and a collaborative spirit define your approach to supporting evolving business needs.
