Primary responsibilities as Microtrac Brand Manager:
- Leadership: lead the Microtrac business unit in the US, including a team of 13 employees (sales, application and service), to achieve ambitious sales targets and consolidate the Microtrac presence across the US.
- Strategy: define and execute the long term go-to-market strategy in cooperation with HQ, considering market segments, positioning, priorities and key initiatives.
- Sales enablement: travel with and upskill the field sales team, supporting with product expertise and sales coaching, to improve win rates and focus on elevating customer experience; support with important key accounts.
- Sales process and analysis: own the whole sales cycle and implement a disciplined management of the CRM in order to ensure clarity on sales projects and to allow for accurate forecasting and report.
- HQ: timely reports and forecasts to corporate, including market/competitive insights back to HQ to guide improvements and development.
- Networking: build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, partners, and customers with focus on developing the life science market; represent Microtrac at conferences, trade shows, customer meetings to increase visibility across the US.
As Microtrac Brand Manager you're a perfect match, if...
- Education: degree in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or extensive experience in analytical methods such as DLS, XRD, surface analysis or similar, and commercial further education or vice versa.
- Experience: proven sales experience in scientific instrumentation or similar technical B2B environments; experience as brand/product line leader (e.g., business line leadership, product management, product-focused commercial leadership) is a plus.
- Technical skills: solid understanding of particle characterisation, light scattering or laser diffraction or relevant technology and a strong ability to translate technical value into clear customer outcomes.
- Leadership skills: ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, defining strategic direction and execution of the strategy; coaching and upskilling a sales team.
- Networking & communication skills: refined communication skills and the ability to build and leverage relationships with internal and external stakeholders; transparent communication with HQ, reporting on finances, process, market insights.
- Location: based in Newtown, PA (or willing to relocate) and willing to travel as required.
